The LB-4001 is a 3/8 oz Poison Tail jig head painted in Monkey Milk over Black (Pro-Tec #05) and assembled in the USA exclusively for LunkrBytes by a small American craftsman. Every head is poured, painted with a chip-resistant Pro-Tec finish, fitted with a Mustad 3/0 black nickel hook and a medium black fiber weedguard, then inspected before packaging. Slide any replacement bass jig skirt straight onto the collar — or hand-tie your own skirt directly to the collar for a more secure hold than a standard banded skirt.

Color: Monkey Milk over Black — Pro-Tec #05

Standard Black with a high-gloss cured finish — the sharpest possible silhouette against any sky condition or water color. Fish it after cold fronts, at night, and in dark-stained water where natural colors disappear. Black forces a reaction when nothing else gets bit.

Layered paint build: Black (PT-05) base coat applied first, then while still hot the head is dipped in Nova Stone Monkey Milk (NS-034) as an overcoat — producing a dark base with a pearl iridescent shimmer that reads as a dark-bodied baitfish with a flashing lateral line.

Technique

Skirt Trimming Tip

Taper the front third of the skirt slightly shorter than the rear strands to create a gill-flare effect — longer on the outside, shorter in the center — mimicking a baitfish opening its mouth. Leave rear strands full length for maximum kick on the pause.
