Best use:
The 90° Aberdeen for round-head pours in the small sizes — 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 — where crappie, panfish, and light bass jigs live. The 90° eye is the angle the classic ball-head and shaky-style molds are cut for. It is also the natural hook for hair jigs and tube heads tied in these sizes.

Avoid when:
Avoid it when the build calls for a heavy-cover bass hook — this is an Aberdeen pattern in small sizes, not a flipping hook. If the mold wants a 60° or 30° eye, use the family cut for that angle instead.

The 32570-BN is Mustad's 1X Strong 90° Aberdeen jig hook in a black nickel finish. Stocked in sizes 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8, in packs of 100 and 1,000 hooks.

Why it works:
An Aberdeen runs light wire by design — easy on light line, easy through a minnow — and the 1X strong draw adds bite-resistance over standard Aberdeen wire without turning it into a broomstick. The 90° eye seats true in ball-head molds, so the finished jig hangs level.

Where it works best:
In ball-head and other 90° pours for crappie, panfish, and light freshwater jigs, on light line. Size to the bait rather than the fish — 4s and 6s ride crappie tubes and marabou, 1s and 2s carry the light bass builds.
