Technical Specifications

The LB-3107 is a 1/2 oz Football jig head painted in Pearl White (Pro-Tec #08) and assembled in the USA exclusively for LunkrBytes by a small American craftsman. Every head is poured, painted with a chip-resistant Pro-Tec finish, fitted with a Mustad 4/0 black nickel hook and a medium clear fiber weedguard, then inspected before packaging. Slide any replacement bass jig skirt straight onto the collar — or hand-tie your own skirt directly to the collar for a more secure hold than a standard banded skirt.

Color: Pearl White — Pro-Tec #08

White pearl is a shad-ghost color — subtle, translucent, and deadly in clear water. When bass have been pounded on natural colors and stop responding, white pearl gives them something new. Especially effective during the post-spawn shad spawn on dock corners and seawalls.

Why the Football Head?

The stand-up football shape keeps your hook at a 45-degree defensive angle on the bottom — exactly how a crawfish positions itself when threatened. When you stop the retrieve the jig does not just sit flat: it stands, presenting the hook upward for a clean, efficient hookset while the wide head rocks back and forth with the bottom current.

• Avoid: Thick grass, heavy timber, or soft mud — the wide head catches debris and loses its signature wobble in soft bottoms.

Technique

Drag slowly on a semi-tight line with a heavy action rod and 15-17 lb fluorocarbon. When you feel the head wobble, you have bottom contact. Stop on the wobble and let neutral fish commit.

Pro Tip: Pearl White + Football

Schooling bass drop bait: When fish blow up on shad near the surface, throw this head with a white paddle-tail past the school and let it sink. Bass that miss the topwater blast will nail it on the fall — the 'drop bait' strategy catches fish other anglers miss.

Skirt Trimming Tip

In off-color water, leave full length — maximum visibility needs maximum surface area. In clear water, trim to 70% of original length to reduce the profile while keeping the high-visibility color in the strike zone.
