8831-001 Clear Regular Skirt Collar

Best use:
The clear regular skirt collar: the band that holds a tied skirt together on the jig. Use it whenever you band skirts from tabs and want the collar itself to disappear on the finished bait.

Avoid when:
Avoid it if the build calls for a rattle — that is the rattle collar's job (the 8833 family) — and check your skirt bulk: a collar holds best on the tab counts it was sized for, so an oversized bundle belongs in a larger banding solution. Collars are consumables — keep spares in the box, because a dried or nicked band is not worth re-using.

The 8831-001 is a clear silicone skirt collar in the regular size. Sold in packs of 10, 25, 50, and 100 collars.

Why it works:
Clear silicone takes on the colour of the skirt it holds, so the collar never fights the pattern you tied — the skirt reads as one piece of material. Silicone stretch is what does the holding: seat it in the jig's collar groove and it stays put through casting and fish.

On skirted jigs of every kind — casting, flipping, swim, and bladed — and on any lure build where a banded silicone skirt needs holding to a collar groove.
